Hello Swim Families. The Pictou Mariners are excited to announce an afternoon of good times and team building hosted by Pictou County Forest School. This event is open to all registered swimmers and coaches. The folks at Pictou County Forest school will lead our team for an active outdoor experience. An accurate head count is required so please sign up and declare your swimmers.
We have more details to come, and we can chat about car pooling etc as we approach. Here is a note from Maya, who is currently working on our program for the afternoon:
Our Forest School is located on 23 acres of land alongside MacBain Road, in Meadowville, Nova Scotia. Look for the Pictou County Forest School sign on MacBain road or follow this pin drop: https://goo.gl/maps/fJUb8AGCPxrXob548
If you enter “Pictou County Forest School” in Google maps it will take you to our civic address, this is NOT the entrance to forest school.
A bottle of water and an afternoon snack would be a good idea. Dressing for success is key as our whole program will take place outside, regardless of weather. As we get closer to the date keep an eye on the weather. If there is any chance of rain in the forecast, participants should wear rain coats and rain pants AND rain boots. Layers underneath are best as well, and warm socks.
Thanks,
Maya
